6. Typical wavelength-dispersive systems

Table 15 gives the name, chemical formula and lattice spacing of the most common analyzer crystals. Also shown are the elementary periodic spacings of Langmuir-Blodgett-type multilayer systems. A more complete list can be found at [9][48] . Other usable crystals have recently been proposed [51] . Most of the lattice spacings for the crystals used are not known with any great accuracy; the values given in the tables may differ significantly, and spectrometers need to be calibrated [52] ....
