Monitoring plan

Documented description of the processes and systems required to control product production (source: IATF 16949).

Special feature

Classification of a product characteristic or manufacturing process parameter that may affect safety, regulatory compliance, fitness for purpose, function, performance, requirements or subsequent finishing operations on that product (source: IATF 16949).

In addition, we refer to "special processes" when (source: ISO 9001) the output elements (characteristics) cannot be verified by monitoring or measurement carried out a posteriori, and whose deficiencies therefore only become apparent once the product is in use or the service provided (as in the case of certain heat treatments in metallurgy, for example).
