3. Define dates for completing actions

The third step is to associate completion dates with each action. The "chronology" of actions will enable you to plan completion deadlines, taking into account any dependencies between actions.

As with the allocation of resources, it's important that each action owner commits to a delivery date. You can't impose a date on someone, as you don't know their workload for the coming period.

Once again, the owner of a share who proposes his own delivery date for his deliverable(s) is making a personal commitment. He will normally give himself the means to meet this date, because he has made a personal commitment to it.

However, it is your responsibility to set limits in determining the dates for completing actions, as you must guarantee the date targeted by the action plan as a whole. This is your commitment to your senior...
