6.1 Don't forget to involve management in these discussions.

Subjects concerning the application of ISO 9001 or the quality management system may seem a little technical, so the company's quality coordinator may be tempted to spare management from a plunge into the intricacies of the quality standard. While this may be a laudable intention, it is hardly advisable. In fact, these – subjects, which take into account both the context and the expectations of interested parties – cannot be dealt with without the involvement of management. What's more, as the ambition of this version is to involve management more directly in the quality approach, it would be inconsistent and probably harmful to deprive them of these reflections.
