7. Conclusion
This article presents an approach to CCS that integrates chemical, technological, and economic considerations, with a particular focus on post-combustion capture using amine absorption—a technology that is now mature and implemented on an industrial scale. From an engineering perspective, several practical lessons emerge:
Although costly, this post-combustion capture technology remains essential for fossil fuel power plants because it can be retrofitted without altering combustion conditions;
