5.1 Don't forget to assess uncertainties

Whether qualitative or quantitative, assessing uncertainties is an essential step in the health risk assessment process. It enables you to validate your choices and the results of the HRA, and to identify sensitive points in the study. Uncertainty analysis also enables us to respond to the two principles governing the HRA method: the principle of scientific caution and the principle of transparency.
