3. Site selection recommendations

3.1 Sampling site and point

A number of elements relating to the choice and typology of sites were set out in the article . There are a number of other technical points to be borne in mind, particularly with regard to measurement networks.

  • Site accessibility: work on the measuring equipment must be easy to manage; operating facilities must be respected (electricity, telephone and furniture).

  • Site safety: the station must be protected from vandalism and comply with safety regulations for personnel who will be working on the site (ventilation, etc.).
