Can we continue to use the terms "protection" and "intervention" MMR?

Yes, these MMRs are also generally referred to as mitigation MMRs, as they enable us to limit the severity of the consequences for people and/or the environment.

Protection measures are more specifically dedicated to limiting the consequences on potential targets by reducing vulnerability.

Intervention measures generally refer to actions implemented as part of the Specific Intervention Plan (PPI) or Internal Operation Plan (PPI). It should be noted that for the last two measures (POI and PPI), the Administration does not accept that they be valued within the framework of the ESD.

Is it possible to use plant design as an MMR in ESDs?

Good plant design and compliance with standards are not considered...
