4. Classification and non-classification thresholds

Each heading sets :

  • the threshold above which an activity or substance is classified, and below which a substance or activity is not classified;

  • the thresholds that determine the different classification regimes (declaration D, declaration with periodic control DC, registration E, authorization A, authorization with public utility servitudes AS).

Please note

A reading of heading 2930 of the ICPE nomenclature shows that the activity of repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and engines is classified if the workshop has a surface area in excess of 2,000 m 2 . Furthermore, if the workshop's surface area is :

  • less than 2,000 m ...
