There may be close links between a CSS and an SPPPI or S3PI.
Formally:
The SPPPI or S3PI may serve as the coordinating body for a CSS and/or manage its secretariat.
The “risks” committee of an SPPPI or S3PI may also carry out the tasks of a CSS.
Informally, the SPPPI or S3PI supports the activities of CSSs operating within its geographic area of jurisdiction by promoting the exchange of experiences and the flow of information.
