1. Context

1.1 Description of the problem / origin of the work

The production of nitrogenous heterocyclic chemical compounds is still a topical issue, as they play an essential role in the pharmaceutical (drugs) and agrochemical (crop protection products, fertilizers) industries. However, molecular chemistry research aimed at industrial applications can no longer be limited to the synthesis of a molecule with high added value or to a chemical transformation process without taking into account the impact of its production on the environment.

The industrial production of chemicals is accompanied by :

  • high energy costs to maintain the transformation reaction at a high temperature (> 130°C) for many hours and to recover solvents by distillation...
