3.1 Environmental gains

In order to demonstrate the undeniable advantages of this innovative synthesis over the other two methods, we need to inventory the incoming and outgoing flows of raw materials, as well as their harmful effects on the environment and on people, for each of these three processes. This multi-criteria analysis will therefore focus on the manufacturing process, which is one of the five stages in the product life cycle. However, none of the existing ecodesign software and tools (ADEME's Product Balance, Eco-balance, Simapro, GaBi, ReCiPe, impact 2002+, Eco-indicator 99...) is sufficiently advanced, nor does it have a sufficiently rich database for chemical products, to quantify the environmental impact of a chemical process at all stages of the life cycle, in terms...
