1. What are the seven parameters involved in assembly?

1.1 Parameter 1: type of materials present in the assembly

Depending on the family of materials that make up your assembly, each substrate behaves differently in the face of mechanical stress, temperature rise, cold, humidity and many other related parameters.

This list is not exhaustive, but the main families of materials that can be assembled are :

  • glass, ceramics ;

  • wood, cardboard, paper ;

  • ferrous and non-ferrous metals ;

  • thermosetting plastics ;

  • thermoplastic plastic materials ;

  • elastomeric plastic materials.
