3.1 Positives

This methodology for identifying "wood chemistry" R&D projects and qualifying them through mediation workshops has enabled us to identify and create new, original and synergetic mixed wood/chemistry, paper/chemistry, wood/energy/chemistry business models, such as those described below:

• business model wood/agrochemists – the development of biological herbicides as an alternative to synthetic products is an environmental and technological innovation, since synthetic plant protection products will be banned in public green spaces from 2020 and in private gardens from 2022;

• business model mixed wood/energy/chemistry – the development of molecules derived from wood energy drying and torrefaction operations...
