Understanding how WebSite-Watcher works

WebSite-Watcher is an automated monitoring software that detects changes on any type of web page, including dynamic or password-protected pages.

The software connects, according to a given periodicity, to pages whose URL address has been registered. Changes between different versions of the page are highlighted in color. The alert can also be sent by e-mail.

The software can be used to monitor a wide range of content:

• a given page on a site ;

• a complete site;

• the results of an engine query ;

• forums ;

• RSS or Atom feeds;

• documents published on the web in Word, Excel, PDF format...
