4. Training to deal with the unexpected

Even a well-prepared pitch can be disrupted by the unexpected. Loss of a line, a trick question, a technical bug, a disinterested look... Practicing how to deal with these hazards means securing your impact whatever happens. In this step, you'll learn to react with calm, clarity and agility.

4.1 Classic contingencies

Here are a few situations to keep in mind:

  • an unsettling question in the middle of a pitch;

  • a technical problem with your support ;

  • a caller who interrupts you or looks away;

  • loss of thread or a sudden blank.
