3. History of TRIZ's arrival in Europe, France and the rest of the world

In this section, we'll confine our description to the history of the TRIZ's arrival in France, which in itself is a novelty, taking into account any other elements already published on the subject. We'll confine this overview to the first few years (1991-2000), as the multiplicity of subsequent events makes it impossible to be exhaustive.

Some key dates for France :

  • 1991: first official presentation of the TRIZ by Mr. Tsurikov at UNESCO in Paris. Prof. Christo Boutzev of UNESCO writes a manuscript in French, summarizing the TRIZ, which is never published;

  • 1995: First press article in the Vienne daily Centre presse: "TRIZ une méthode qui donne à penser" ("TRIZ, a method that makes you think");

  • 1996: first state of the art published in a DEA dissertation...
