6.1 Don't forget to contract
A common misconception is that ownership is simply a matter of paying. This is not how intellectual property works. For example, if you entrust an external service provider with the creation of software, a design, a logo, a slogan or a website, you will only have a limited right to use it, and will be prohibited from reproducing it, modifying it, or registering it as a trademark or design, unless you have acquired the copyright by means of a contract in due and proper form.
