Collective protection is not just about physical barriers. Organizational barriers such as risk analysis, safety files, information, training and the drafting of instructions are all part of collective protection.
When several people use an experiment, the passage of information needs to be organized. It's easy to secure a CD player, which, once manufactured, is fixed. This is more difficult for an experiment that evolves according to research requirements. For example, removable protective covers that can be easily removed and replaced are required, particularly for evolving parts (in sample positioning zones, for example). Hinged covers and access hatches are possible solutions.
