3.1 Regulatory aspects

There is no specific provision in the French Labor Code specifically addressing the prevention of accidents on the ground. However, the general provisions of Articles L. 4121-1 to L. 4121-3 call on employers to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and protect the health of workers, based on the general principles of prevention, and to carry out a risk assessment. As part of this process, the risk of accidents on the ground can be identified and recorded in the single document mentioned in article R. 4121-1 of the French Labour Code.
