7. Non-vascular and mobile surgery

X-ray imaging during surgery is essential for specific procedures where it is an indispensable aid. The surgeon who uses it exposes himself to X-rays, and it is all the more normal for him to limit their use when he can. Nevertheless, technological advances and the development of navigation techniques are likely to profoundly alter the relationship between surgery and imaging.
