Macroscopic batch reactor; macrobatch reactor
A reactor is a device in which a chemical reaction takes place. In the case of a macroscopic batch process, the reactor is a vessel with a specific volume (e.g. a glass flask of several milliliters or a steel tank of several hundred liters). The products of the reaction are thus obtained in quantities corresponding to the volume of the reactor (batch).
Packed-bed reactor; réacteur à lit fixe
The fixed-bed reactor is a type of reactor where the reaction takes place on the surface of an immobilized solid catalyst or reactant, the substrates and products being liquids or gases.
Rendement spatiotemporel; space-time yield
The space-time efficiency corresponds to the quantity of product obtained per unit of time (i.e. productivity)...
