Oxygenated chemical species made chemically highly reactive by the presence of unpaired valence electrons, including free radicals, oxygen ions and peroxides.

Birth and radial oscillation of gas bubbles in a liquid subjected to negative pressure.

Dye; colorant

A chemical species that dissolves in the medium into which it is introduced and changes its color.

Sonoluminescence; sonoluminescence

Phenomenon describing the emission of photons during the implosion of gas bubbles stimulated by ultrasound.

Sonosensitiser; sonosensitizer

Molecule activated by sonoluminescence.
