3. Techniques for assessing anti-blue-light activity
Whatever the nature of the model (in vitro, ex vivo or in vivo), assessing the efficacy of an active ingredient or finished product against blue light requires exposure of the model (enzyme, cell culture, skin explant or volunteer) to a light source mimicking blue light.
This can be achieved by using :
lamps capable of mimicking the blue light often used in phototherapy (such as Medisol® LED lamps, Deleo, or skintrekPT3, Lumedtec)
