Alkaline agent; agent alcalin

Imposes a pH above 7, enabling the incorporation of bases and couplers by opening the hair scales.

Antioxidant; antioxidant

Inhibits oxygen-induced reactions to prevent oxidation and degradation of components in the formula.

Viscosing agent; agent viscosant

Increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products.

Emulsifying agent; agent émulsifiant

Promotes the formation of intimate mixtures between immiscible liquids (e.g. water and oil), enabling emulsions to be produced.

Film-forming agent; agent filmogène

Forms a continuous film on skin, hair or nails.
