1. General composition of toothpaste

Toothpaste is a product used to clean teeth with a toothbrush. It has several actions, including removing plaque, protecting gums and teeth, and maintaining pleasant breath. It generally contains fluoride, which remineralizes tooth enamel and prevents cavities. Toothpaste foams when brushed, thanks to the action of foaming agents. Certain ingredients can be added to target a particular action, such as tooth sensitivity, whitening or scaling.
