4. Conclusion

During this work, we studied the electroreduction reaction of CO 2 to hydrocarbons. The system presented is the first example of gas-phase carbon dioxide reduction, in fixed-bed mode, at room temperature and ordinary pressure. The reaction was carried out in two types of reactor: firstly with a continuous flow of CO 2 and H 2 . In this case, the protons required for the CO 2 reduction reaction are supplied by the oxidation of H 2 to H + .
