2. Specificities of R&D applied to the recovery of end-of-life products

Developing new products from end-of-life materials requires a very different research process from that required for traditionally-designed products.

For a traditionally-designed product, the functional specifications to be met by the product guide and frame the research work; in this case, the materials and semi-finished products involved in the product's development are precisely selected to meet the expected qualities. On the other hand, when it comes to developing new products from end-of-life materials - ELT in our case - these are the native and imposed point of reflection and of the research and development programs that are carried out.
