4. Conclusion
The "rules of the art" initially and the standards published more recently in the history of the railway industry make it possible to ensure electromagnetic compatibility not only within the railway system but also with its environment. The main principles for ensuring compatibility between and with the main components or sub-assemblies of the railway system and its environment were presented. There is a real need to integrate EMC considerations from the design stage throughout the system, in particular by identifying critical interfaces, the sharing of authorized frequencies and amplitudes, the risks associated with gauges, and possible retreats if interference is suspected, without waiting until the commissioning stage when modifications are no longer possible... This means that all stakeholders must work together to ensure that they have the right information, so as not to overprotect...
