1.1 Partial low-floor streetcars

  • Alstom "Citadis I

    The low-floor tramway system was first introduced in Grenoble in 1984, when politicians took up the demand of local disabled people's associations for a type of vehicle accessible to wheelchair users at all doors. 134 vehicles of this model, known as "Tramway Français Standard II", were built for Grenoble (53), RATP (53) and Rouen (28) (see table 1 ).
