5. Conclusion

Despite the severe constraints to which the various HAPS/LAPS will be subject, tests carried out to date confirm that they can be combined with satellites to extend high-speed, low-latency wireless connectivity on a global scale. In addition, they can be used to provide complementary non-terrestrial global connectivity to communications networks within a suitable regulatory framework.
