2. Assembly techniques

Figure 3 shows the different manufacturing techniques used on Marcel Dassault aircraft:

  • for monolithic parts (figure 3 a), the composite skins are bolted to a metal or composite substructure. This is the case, for example, with wings or fins incorporating fuel tanks. There is no gluing involved;

  • for complex parts, bonding and cocuisson (cf. ) are used.
