5. Reinforcing, filling and cushioning products

These products are very similar to adhesives. They are syntactic films or pastes, which swell and expand during hot curing to fill gaps.

Examples include Loctite Aerospace's Syncore and Synspand, Vantico's Epocast and Redux foaming films.
