5.1 Simulation testing
Simulation testing is used systematically to verify and validate the operation of LLRTM system software components at the various stages of design. For this purpose, simulation models of conventional aircraft and UAVs are used. These essentially kinematic models enable us to simulate the flight of different aircraft in a sufficiently realistic way, and to create trajectories and conflict scenarios. Simulated data from the various aircraft are sent in real time as input to the software components, enabling their dynamic behavior to be validated.
