2. Multidisciplinary optimization

After introducing the fundamental concepts of numerical optimization in the previous section, this section aims to describe the specificities generated by multidisciplinary optimization. First, the satisfaction of interdisciplinary couplings will be introduced, as well as the main methods of resolution. Secondly, the optimization problem will be extended to take into account the new variables and constraints introduced by multidisciplinary optimization. Finally, the main solution algorithms will be described.
