Customs status of goods

By examining international, Community and national provisions (see table 1 ), it is possible to define the customs status of a product. This status will determine its treatment on import or export within the European Union. Once this has been done, we need to look at the circulation of the goods, their storage and production, and the optimization of customs clearance operations. These questions apply to imports and exports in almost every country in the world.

All these aspects of international logistics should enable a much more coherent approach to customs formalities, and their integration into corporate strategy.
