3. Conclusion

In practice, many physical phenomena are modeled by means of semi-empirical equations written using dimensionless parameters. The formal writing of these equations is guided by the application of the Vaschy-Buckingham theorem. Determining the coefficients and exponents involved in these equations requires experiment. However, the application of the equation determined by this process should only be made for situations or practical configurations similar to those that existed in the experiment used to determine the coefficients and exponents of the equation. This experiment acts as a mock-up, with the desired applications acting as prototypes.
