1. Which experimental designs to choose?
When implementing a design of experiments, factors are selected as follows:
identification of factors likely to influence response ;
classification of factors into two categories: main factors (operator, volume, method) and disruptive factors (uncontrollable, "noise", experimental constraints);
definition of factor levels.
Once the factors and their levels have been determined, it's time to create the experimental design that's right for your study. Here are a few experimental designs to get you started.
