3. Select laboratory performance indicator(s)
Before selecting one or more indicators, it is advisable to communicate and train on the indicators, so that the staff responsible for providing the information needed to monitor them understand the objectives of the action being launched.
Communication on the subject can be carried out at company level if several departments are involved in a similar action. As for training, this can be carried out quite simply in-house by an expert in quality indicators.
The choice of an indicator should be made by a small working group led, for example, by the expert in quality indicators. It is imperative that the operators designated to provide the information on which the indicator will be quantified participate in the working group.
