2. Nature and scale of electrical accidents
2.1 Terminology
First of all, it's worth recalling the terminology specific to electrical accidents.
Electrification refers to any electrical accident, whether fatal or not. It can take the form of a simple concussion, which may have no effect, or, on the contrary, a state of ventricular fibrillation, leading to death.
Electrocution is a fatal accident caused by electricity.
Ventricular fibrillation, which may follow electrification, is a transient state of the organism, known as "apparent death", corresponding to an anarchic rhythm of the heart's functioning under the effect of the passage of a low-intensity electric current (of the order of a few tens of milliamperes)...
