3.1 Resistivity of aqueous solutions

Pure water is essentially non-conductive, but when impurities such as salts are added to water, the resistivity of the solution can decrease significantly. Table 7 shows resistivity values, for example, of typical aqueous solutions in which people may be partially or totally immersed.
