Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS)

A mass spectrometer used to determine the concentration of the elements in a sample by analyzing the ions that form when the sample is introduced into an inductively coupled plasma.

Atomic Emission Spectrometry (AES)

An analytical technique that uses the intensity of a specific wavelength emitted by a flame, plasma, or spark to determine the concentration of an element in a sample.
