4. Applications for GC-MS/MS coupling

This last paragraph presents examples of the application of GC-MS/MS coupling in the main analytical fields where its use has proved necessary to irrevocably characterize the samples analyzed. Table 2 lists these examples, together with the techniques used and detection limits obtained. Among the fields concerned, the petroleum industry, environmental chemistry, agri-food quality control and forensic science illustrate in particular the applications of GC-MS/MS coupling.
