8. Minimum weight for manufacturers

Defined by the manufacturers, it is established together with the repeatability. The minimum weight has been determined under different conditions for the desired tolerance limit and confidence level.

The manufacturer's specifications only provide an initial estimate of the minimum weighing required to assess the quantities to be weighed in the laboratory.

The results that can actually be achieved depend on other parameters, and may be better or worse than those specified. The scale's actual repeatability should therefore be checked at the place of use.

The minimum weight must take into account the following parameters:

• ambient conditions at place of use ;

• person performing the weighing ;

• balance configuration...
