Quadrupole Mass Filter Analyzer

Mass spectrometer consisting of four electrodes in the form of parallel bars through which ions pass. The ion's trajectory is a function of its m/z ratio and the value and amplitude of DC and radio-frequency potentials applied to opposite pairs of bars.

Magneto-electrostatic sector analyzer ; Sector Analyzer

A mass spectrometer comprising at least one magnetic sector for recording the mass spectra of a monoenergetic ion beam, which may be associated with one or more electrostatic sectors for correcting the energy dispersion to obtain the monoenergetic beam.
