8. Conclusion

The gravimetric method proposed is simple to implement, but complex to analyze as many parameters interact. It should be analyzed at least once, but systematic calibration (or calculation of the measurement uncertainty of each pipette) is not necessary. Table 14 shows that the most important parameter is process repeatability, the other parameters being virtually constant. Taking process repeatability (the pipette's performance as well as the operator's skill) and associating it with the constant terms may suffice for a good assessment of pipette performance.
