5. Maintenance, inspection, adjustment and tuning
Modern quality management (ISO 9001, NF EN ISO/CEI 17025, GLP and GMP texts) requires periodic inspection and maintenance of measuring instruments. Irrespective of these standards, conscientious laboratory technicians have always taken it for granted to periodically check their micropipettes [see life sheet (figure 4 )].
