2. Voltammetry on modified electrodes
The development of numerous studies on modifying the surface of indicator electrodes by forming thin films of conductive (or non-conductive) polymers containing electroactive substances, resulting in what is commonly referred to as a modified electrode, has grown considerably over the last thirty years. The aim of this approach is to address a number of concerns, some of which are new to electrochemistry. The main ones are:
to study the electrochemical properties of compounds attached to the surface of an electrode, in particular, to provide an electrochemical method for studying insoluble compounds;
control the structure of the electrode/solution interface in order to influence the efficiency and selectivity of the electrochemical reaction;
generally obtain electrocatalysis...
