4. Sample heating

The sample heating system integrates several functions:

• regulated heating ;

• controlled atmosphere containment ;

• regulated cooling.

The assembly adapts to the scale with the different arrangements corresponding to the type of scale used (figure 2 ):

• suspended vertical ;

• vertical supported ;

• horizontal.

The electrically powered furnace heats the sample using a resistor (tantalum, platinum, Kanthal ^...
