4. Conclusion

Developing a control law for a transfer system involves three main steps. The first step is to model the system on the basis of its governing balance equations. This modeling enables the system to be represented as an input-output system, but whose internal equations are partial differential equations. The second step is to define a stationary operating point for the system. This operating point is the one we wish to reach and maintain using the control law. Finally, the third step is dedicated to the synthesis of a control law guaranteeing the stability of the stationary operating point. This control law can be obtained using various methods, such as the characteristic method, the frequency approach or the Lyapunov method.
